It was a good idea to create an OTS with more than one genre; neo noir and action, as it made our final video more complex. During Media at GCSE level I studied action movies, including their typical conventions, examples etc. I also enjoy both action and neo noir as film genres and so this made the production of our OTS a lot simpler as we were interested in what we were making. As our OTS consists of two genres, we also will gain another genres audience, and so will have a larger target market.

 

Film noirs were generally made between the 1940's and 50's, if we were to make our OTS a film noir, and not a neo noir like we decided, our target audience would be a lot older than the age of our target market due to it being a neo noir. As the neo noir and action genre are typically for males between the age of 15 - 25, which was ideal for our OTS and is why we chose these genres.
